Responsibilities

A successful applicant will be required to provide project management support for the delivery of technological solutions in the Financial Crime and Fraud technology space as follows:

  • Lead and manage system implementation projects, leveraging traditional project management and agile principles and practices to fit internal and external client needs.

  • Work with client and internal stakeholders to develop and agree on the project approach, plan, and timeline.

  • Track, monitor and report on project delivery status and progress to the project team, and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify, track, and communicate project risks and issues and, when necessary, escalate to appropriate personnel.

  • Facilitate Scrum Events (e.g., Sprint Refinement and Planning, Scrum Meetings, Sprint Reviews), and guide the project team using the Agile/Scrum framework.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, resources and scope according to business priorities.

  • Participate in business development initiatives that include attending client meetings and industry conferences.

Qualifications

Required:

    • Be located a commutable distance from either Guidehouse's NYC or DC office, and be willing and able to have a hybrid work arrangement (i.e., working both remotely from home and in the office when needed/depending on the engagement).
  • 7+ years overall professional experience, inclusive of a minimum of 5 years of project management experience as a Senior Project Manager or a Scrum Master.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in related field(s).

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and/or Scrum Master (CSM).

  • Experience in leading and managing large, complex technology projects with multi-function teams.

  • Strong project management and time management skills, including managing several projects simultaneously and autonomously.

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of:

  • Project management processes, strategies, methodologies and Systems Development Life Cycle; and

  • Agile/Scrum methodologies and framework.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize and convey key insights from analyses to senior audiences.

  • Excellent organizational skills, and high degree of comfort working in unstructured situations.

  • Ability to travel.

    Preferred:

    • Management consulting/advisory company experience.
  • Fraud or Financial Risk Case Management and Alert Generation Solutions experience.
