TED Conferences LLC TED-Ed Account Manager in New York, New York


The TED-Ed Account Manager is responsible for supporting the intake of TED Masterclass for Education leads and sales, and supporting our growth of TED Masterclass for Education ( , TED’s professional learning course for educators, throughout school systems around the world. The title for this position is subject to change based on the experience of the applicant. The TED-Ed Account Manager will report to the TED-Ed Senior Programs Manager. This position will start in Summer 2021.


  • Manage TED Masterclass for Education’s new business development and sales efforts by overseeing inbound leads from interest to purchase

  • Manage basic business development processes

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with new and existing customers; engage in regular communication and program vision-setting to ensure a clear understanding of customer needs and requirements.

  • Regularly communicate account status, customer feedback and sales opportunities

  • Assist with onboarding of accounts (implementation across a district level, organization pilots, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Senior Programs Manager to track and identify districts/regions/states/countries with strong potential for TED-Ed implementation and work to maximize growth for TED Masterclass for Education and TED-Ed Student Talks program (our program for students to develop their ideas)

  • Execute virtual marketing calls to promote TED-Ed

  • Collect, evaluate, and report data (qualitative and quantitative data) across existing user groups

  • Support on additional special projects, including TED-Ed events


  • 3+ years experience in education, educational sales and/or non-profit organizations

  • Extremely comfortable communicating with educators (teachers, principals, superintendents, etc.) and students within a variety of international cultural contexts

  • Proficient working on online platforms including Zoom and Google Suite

  • Experience working with district, state, regional or national school systems is a plus

  • Excellent writing and research skills

  • Has incredible attention to detail and enjoys multitasking on many projects at once

  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment

  • Strong ability to collaborate with a team

  • Extremely flexible and willing to jump in and contribute for any team or program need

  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fluid organization and team

  • Proven experience delivering on tight project deadlines and ability to project manage tasks for others, if needed

  • Proficiency in Spanish is perferred

  • Prior knowledge of Salesforce and Zendesk is a plus
