JPMorgan Chase Transformation Manager - Payments - Vice President in New York, New York

Payments Transformation Team and Role

You are a talented and experienced Product Strategy / Agile Transformation professional primed to focus on Capability building and Training for the broader Payments organization as member of the Product and Agility Center of Excellence team with the global Transformation & Execution group. The group functions as an internal consulting and transformation function. Our team is a diverse mix of talented individuals from JPMorgan Chase; several top tier consulting firms -- including McKinsey, Oliver Wyman, and Deloitte; and a mix of other corporate settings with backgrounds in strategy, development, transformation and agile expertise.

The Transformation team is designing, developing and enabling the execution of the target state product and technology operating model and agility strategy globally for all products and platforms across Payments. This initiative is a top strategic priority for the Head of Payments, a JPM Operating Committee Member, and will raise the profile of the Payment business, allow us to continue to provide a market-leading solutions and client experience, while improving time-to-market, productivity, quality and customer-centricity.

This highly visible role entails supporting Payments leadership and senior stakeholders to design and deliver a best-in-class product architecture and operating model strategy, as well as enabling implementation of initiatives from early pilots to scaling the transformation across the organization in collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience rolling out product and agility training for a large organization and have existing relationships with industry experts in Product Management and Agile Development.

Job responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and seasoned professional to help progress capability building training initiatives that are core to the business. The position represents an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to:

  • Apply structured problem-solving to address top strategic priorities ; Develop innovative solutions to transform the business and operating model with training and immersive events focused on product excellence and agility

  • Design and progress execution of capability building strategy globally to across one of the largest and respected Payments organizations in Financial Services

  • Develop a deep understanding of the fast-evolving and innovative Payments business and ecosystem (including FinTechs)

  • Independently advance workstream, projects and manage stakeholder relationships

  • Mentor and direct work of junior team members

  • Engage in broader team efforts, including recruiting, staffing, and performance management

  • Broaden network and capabilities in an environment of active coaching and mentorship, in order to advance to other roles within the company if desired

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a Strategic Product Management Office role in Human Resources, Learning and Development, or Finance and Business management group

  • 2+ years of experience in a role focused on driving learning and development strategy for a product focused organization

  • Demonstrated experience with broad range of analytical tools and strong problem-solving abilities

  • Diverse transformation experience- experience leading capability building for any large org-wide transformation effort highly desired

  • Strong project management, process management and executive-level communication skills

  • Extensive experience planning, managing, and overseeing workstreams;

  • Experience performing current-state analysis to identify inefficiencies and transformation opportunities

  • Strong emotional intelligence, with desire to develop and mentor junior team members

  • MBA or an advanced degree is preferred

  • Experience in financial services industry preferred

  • Well versed in Agile methodology and practice, certification preferred

  • Well versed in managing high visibility programs/projects for senior leadership
