A career in our Innovation Project Management practice, within Innovation Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' redesign, redefine, and redeploy their assurance and/or tax departments to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients as they incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, Open Source technologies into their processes to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.

Responsible for working with cross-functional tax technology teams to support engagement teams using internal accelerators including, but not limited to, PwC tax applications and third-party applications as part of their compliance and provision processes.

The senior should have an understanding of how the tools in the PwC Tax ecosystem work together to effectively implement the tools and provide consultative advice towards best practices.

Required Knowledge and Skills :

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader including:

  • Being responsible for providing guidance to internal PwC Tax engagement teams on the correct process for implementing compliance and provision tools and technologies;

  • Being responsible for providing consultative advice to PwC Tax compliance and provision engagement teams regarding optimal use of people, processes and technologies that align their engagements with the latest best practices and data strategies;

  • Assisting to establish and continually update standard processes for the PwC Tax ecosystem;

  • Coordinating with Tax engagement leaders, TSIT leaders, and other firm stakeholders such as Acceleration Center leaders to ensure advice or solutions offered to Tax engagement teams are innovative, build trust, and are tech-powered and client-centered; and,

  • Coordinating with TSIT Enabling teams including Business Analysts, Product Managers, Data Strategy, Digital Pursuits, Change Management and Adoption, Training and Support.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader including:

  • Communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal format within a professional business services environment, including interacting with clients and firm staff and/or management;

  • Understanding of Provision and Compliance processes;

  • Assisting with federal workpaper and return questions;

  • Assisting with state workpaper and return questions;

  • Assisting with international workpaper and return questions;

  • Understanding of Thomson Reuters products (i.e. ONESOURCE and GoSystem) and/or Corptax;

  • Possessing experience having actively participated in 1 or more years of Corporate or Partnership compliance busy seasons with hands-on experience with client-service deliverables; and,

  • Willingness to upskill in the PwC Tax Technology Ecosystem.
