The Product Performance Management Specialist is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • The Product Performance Management Specialist partners across product disciplines, assists in the ownership of the product(s) and monitoring drivers for performance

  • Works on the ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution

  • Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the product performance team

  • Integrates subject matter and industry knowledge within a defined area and requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business

  • Evaluates variable and, at times, complex issues with major impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations

  • Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources

  • Implements performance improvement strategies, with a specific focus on cross-sell and integration, including the development of competitive analyses, market analyses, product development road maps, market plans, pricing strategies and product line extensions

  • Assists sales and relationship managers in building skills needed to identify client needs, and proposes solutions in line with business objectives

  • Manages ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution

  • Partners closely with sales teams to identify client opportunities and with the client management organization to meet with prospective clients and to size new opportunities

  • Build consensus and awareness of value proposition throughout the organization and key partners

  • Prepares materials for the Product Approval Program and related processes, ensures products are delivered and adhere to all parameters globally

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, legal, implementations, and sales to deliver solutions for Citi clients

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline

  • Experience in and understanding of logistics or Industrial verticals experience with e-commerce solutions preferred

  • Complex judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives

  • In-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions

  • Ability to apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations

  • Developed diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers

  • Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

This specific role sits within our Global Platform and Data Services (PDS) Product group which is part of our Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) function within Services

The Digital Onboarding Product team is responsible for developing & implementing a global digital strategy to support client onboarding across TTS business lines. This role will focus in particular on the opening of bank accounts for Citi’s institutional clients. The strategy includes the transformation of the operating and engagement model through delivery of self-service and digitized capabilities.

We are looking for someone that will be laser focused on client experience and can drive the onboarding experience forward in terms of innovative thinking, defining industry leading features and capabilities both for our external customers and the internal stakeholders who help support our products

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Help define product strategy and roadmap.

  • Execute the Digital Onboarding Strategic Roadmap in a cross functional setting

  • Gather, review, and prioritise product capability requests from external and internal stakeholders.

  • Understand markets and users experience through client feedback (Voice of client) and research.

  • Create client user journeys and drive application development with Technology partners

  • Manage relationships with cross functional partners in support of the product roadmap, day-to-day management, etc.

  • Work within Agile framework-Clearly define EPICs and prioritise based on product vision and roadmap.

  • Support Product Owners with decomposing EPICs into User Stories.

  • Maintain an active feedback loop with external and internal stakeholders for Onboarding increment.

  • Conduct system demo’s and support our Sales, Client Relationship and Client On-Boarding Teams with collateral and training.
