Role

We are seeking a US People Advisor who is passionate about everything People! As the US People Advisor, you will be responsible for providing proactive and high quality administrative and HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with our US People Director and other member of our Global People team. Since we are a global team, there are many opportunities to work on projects both globally and locally to create positive workplace experiences and support our company culture. This is a true generalist role with plenty of opportunities to be involved in various areas of the HR function.

Below are some of the key responsibilities our US People Advisor is expected to perform:

  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for all new hires and leavers.

  • Assist finance with processing of twice monthly payroll and assure all necessary HRIS systems are kept updated.

  • Ensure all people records are accurate, provide data and reports as required and generate routine reports in a timely, efficient, and user-friendly manner

  • Ensures employees are kept in the loop about important updates. Ensuring that internal comms go out as planned e.g. trainings, open enrollment announcements, etc.

  • Provide administrative support for the US team.

  • You will be the first point of contact for day-to-day questions pertaining to policy & employee relations, benefits, training, etc.

  • Keep up to date with employment law and latest developments in HR.Assist with Employee Relation matters; including flexible working requests, reasonable accommodations and performance management issues. You will also take ownership of some of these matters (when appropriate).

  • Support US People Director to execute processes around employee lifecycle; eg Talent Mapping / Salary review / Peer Forums

  • Assist our Senior Director of Talent Acquisition with the co-ordination of interviews, administering of testing and collecting of interview feedback.

  • Keep temp and freelance employee trackers up to date and handle the necessary paperwork and account set up.

  • Assist with and attend career fairs when needed.

  • Manage junior level roles from start to finish (when needed).

  • Help with coordination and implementations of internal and external training sessions.

  • Get involved in and take ownership of global HR projects and initiatives

  • Assist with our global DE&I initiatives and trainings.

Key attributes

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of relevant HR experience. Previous experience using Success Factors and other HR related systems is a plus. Other key attributes include:

  • Highly adept in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel

  • Desire to gain knowledge and understanding of HR practices and benefits programs

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively and communicate with employees at all levels of the company

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
