Our National Tax Department serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. The combination of knowledge and experience forms the basis of our ability to assist clients in meeting their business objectives. The International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) – Capital Markets practice assists with the provision of tax advisory services with respect to domestic and cross-border financial transactions and structures, including cash management, debt and equity instruments, derivatives, financial products, foreign currency, and hedging activities. Services include transaction planning and implementation, research and analysis of complex tax issues, and writing of tax memoranda.
You will interact with firm professionals from multiple tax disciplines, including international tax, Internal Revenue Service practice and procedure, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, real estate, leasing, accounting methods and foreign tax to provide timely and high-quality services and work products that meet or exceed client expectations. This will make you a trusted advisor and role model for our people across multiple teams, making this a great place to develop a diverse network of collaborative colleagues.
Your key responsibilities
Identifying and resolving complex domestic and international tax issues
Providing technical tax advice and planning services to a portfolio of projects
Bringing transactional experience and foreign tax currency exposure
Building long-lasting relationships with our clients, developing your understanding of their unique needs and requirements
Constantly developing your own knowledge, maintaining your status as a trusted advisor by monitoring emerging trends, technologies and practices

Have, or actively working toward obtaining, a Juris Doctor or LLM in Taxation
Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar
A high level of self-motivation to work and learn both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
The time management skills to prioritize effectively when working on multiple complex projects
The flexibility to adapt to new challenges and a flair for speaking up with great ideas
Flexibility and a genuine desire to learn
Experience gained through a financial modeling role
An in-depth understanding of basic modeling tools, including Excel
Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

A competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The salary range for this job, in the US, is $115,000 - $145,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid-time-off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial and emotional well-being.
