Tax - PAS - Integrated Mobile Talent – Intern

People Advisory Services (PAS) offers candidates like you an opportunity for a completely tailored, independently-driven, and leadership-sponsored career path. By being involved in a number of projects, you’ll broaden your knowledge and gain a better understanding of the people initiatives that impact HR, cost and tax, as well as the overall business strategy and function of our clients. Within theIntegrated Mobile Talent practice, you’ll work with global clients to understand and address some of their largest and most complex people-related challenges and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results. You’re likely to balance multiple projects at once, so you’ll need to be ready to prioritize your work and think on your feet every day. That will mean using your technical, analytical and acute business sense to provide tax technically sound, practical business advice and account management support to our clients. It’s an intense introduction to this area of the business, where you can expect to make meaningful contributions right from the start. So by the time you progress in this role, you’ll be a trusted professional ready to grow into a new role that leverages your strengths and ambitions.

Your key responsibilities

  • Preparation of US individual tax returns for cross border assignees

  • Working closely with our global team to provide professional tax compliance and advisory services related to the mobile population of our clients

  • Researching technical issues and documenting the findings

  • Assisting in responses to tax authority inquiries

  • Building relationships with clients

  • Supporting global account and project management, including analysis of client global mobility costs

  • Developing process maps to document current and future state mobility procedures

  • Supporting equity program management and calculations

  • Understanding and advising on due diligence, transaction integration, divestitures, reward/equity programs and benefits packages – especially in relation to mobility

  • Qualifications.

  • A predicted undergraduate degree in Accounting; graduate degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred; both supported by a strong academic record  A demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam  

  • Proven analytical skills, and the ability to creatively overcome complex and constantly changing tax challenges

  • The confidence to successfully manage multiple projects efficiently and within tight deadlines

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer software

  • Flexibility to work with virtual teams and use technology to interact effectively and efficiently

  • A driver’s license valid in the U.S.

A competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $29.33 - $38.46. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data. In addition should you join us full time, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid-time-off options.  Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.  You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial and emotional well-being.

  • Our approach to hiring utilizes several different formats throughout the course of the recruiting process.
