You'll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy, and the skills and experiences you've gained in your degree program to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Consumer Customer Experience Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program. You will have the opportunity to work side by side with marketing and product leaders to champion, develop, manage and drive key relationships that are critical to the success of our business and impact our customers. The Retail Experience Design Team creates cross-channel experiences and digital tools to empower customers and support in-store representatives through their retail journeys - before, during, and after their store visit.
As an intern with the Retail Experience Design Team, some of the skills and areas you may have an opportunity to work on include:
Assisting with design and creation of Figma libraries for retail designers to utilize.
Reviewing service design mapping of customer and rep journeys.
Reviewing cross-platform strategy translation and design of digital touchpoints across web, app and in-store screens.
Support research initiatives and developing research briefs.
Understanding the design handoff process, to deliver design work to developers.
Collaborate with design and partner teams across the business to both learn and contribute to the design process responsible for designing, optimizing, and planning the future of user journeys across Retail experiences for Verizon consumers.
You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.
In this hybrid internship, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. This hybrid internship may be based out of Basking Ridge, NJ, New York, NY, or Rolling Meadows, IL. If relocation is required, relocation assistance may be available.

You'll need to have:
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program majoring in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field, with an expected completion date between December 2026 and June 2027.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
Willingness to work in Basking Ridge, NJ, New York, NY, or Rolling Meadows, IL. As noted, relocation may be provided in certain situations. If relocation is required, you must be able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation to the office location.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with Figma, especially auto layout and creating component libraries.
Project experience and/or coursework in user experience design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Knowledge of consumer, enterprise or telecom products and market.
Strong leadership, presentation and technical skills.
