Vice President of Human Resources

CoCreativ is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Human Resources. This role will support CoCreativ by leading the HR department, managing projects, implementing people-centric programs, and coaching executive leaders. This individual will also create and implement process and programs that will insure we are legally compliant as well as supporting our businesses.

What You Will Do:

  • Be a super Human Resources Business Partner – You will be partnering with business leaders across the network to provide insight and guidance to support their agenda

  • You will need to be comfortable with employee relations, practices and employment law throughout the US

  • Manage projects – You will lead key HR projects, driving forward both the strategic vision and project execution

  • You will need to excel at monitoring progress against deadlines and milestones, along with being able to structure complex issues and digest/analyze complicated insights from multiple sources

  • You need to be someone who pushes forward even when the right way forward is unclear or complex

  • Streamline processes – You will lead the creation of defining and documenting the core HR processes, after you determine if they make sense

  • Be appropriately contrarian – You will think critically to challenge the HR status quo and come up with innovative solutions

  • Generate thought leadership – You will partner with the Group President and your peers to define the point of view on current topics like Paid Time Off, Benefits, remote work, etc.

  • Carry yourself with executive presence – You need to be able to command a room, speak with authority, and be unflappable

  • Know who needs to know – You will ensure alignment and the effective communication of Human Resources initiatives across agencies

  • Never be satisfied – You will always be looking for ways to improve HR structure and how it can help business

  • Embrace change – The ability to adapt to new people, new processes, and new structures is critical to this role so that you can embrace change for others

  • Be curious – You are always willing to learn and are not afraid to ask questions


  • At least 10 years of experience leading Human Resources functions in an advertising agency or creative environment

  • Expertise in ADP

  • Payroll processing experience

  • Benefits management experience

  • History of evaluating and implementing sophisticated HR programs and initiatives across multiple organizations with distinct cultures and geographies

  • Finesse building consensus around HR strategy and tactics

  • Demonstrated background in talent management, leadership development, team effectiveness and organizational design

  • Must have experience managing a multi-faceted Human Resources team

  • Expert project management skills

  • Superb communication skills, ability to simplify Human Resources requirements and theories into business language

  • Seasoned executive coaching skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, a Master’s Degree preferred

  • HR certification (such as PHR or SPHR) preferred, but not required

  • Clear and demonstrated expertise in HR compliance in multi state operations

  • Experience managing budgets and calculating financial impact of HR policies

  • Experience is helping to create excellent culture
