PVH Corp. Vice President, Planning - CALVIN KLEIN in New York, New York
The Vice President of Planning is a strategic partner to the Executive Vice President in guiding, managing and developing the planning concepts for the Men's division (Wholesale and Off-price). This person will oversee the development of seasonal merchandise plans that support the volume and earnings objectives of the division.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Create/present 3 year strategic plans for each account
Establish business models for all accounts
Create and support strategies to drive at the department and account level
Track AUR, sales, markdowns to achieve margin expectations
Track OTB - inclusive of sales & MD projections.
Maximize retail sales and productivity by door
Identify market share opportunity
Track door, shop and coordinator performance and measure ROI
Identify in season risk &/or opportunities by door/style
Responsible for monthly and annual shipping budget
Track current business and develop action plans for corrective action as needed
Identify and monitor sale events/AUR impact
Identify sales opportunities through effective strategic planning and execution that achieve financial goals
Re-project monthly sales and markdowns based on trends, receipt flow and promotions
Collaborate with Sales and Merchandising to develop class assortments by account/SKU plan history and template
Create ladders by program that support budget and account plans
Communicate monthly & annual allowance forecast to finance and sr management
Conduct annual/seasonal audit reviews (internal and external)
Provide margin goals to sales & merchandising
Provide projections class, program, that tie back to financial budgets
Identity new product opportunities
Participate in global line review process
Work closely with replenishment planning team to identify new and obsolete replenishment programs
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Internal: President, Controller, Merchants, Planning & Allocation team
External: Wholesale Accounts
Direct: 1 Sr. Director Planning, Men’s + 2 Directors
Indirect: Retail Analysts
Develop seasonal account budgets with class plans, promotional plans, and ladder plans to support company financial objectives.
Direct planning and allocation process to support company objectives and meet financial objectives. Manage strategic planning process between planning, finance, and merchandising.
Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of the business and/or adhoc strategic initiatives.
Must be able to communicate clearly with several layers of management
Development of new business processes to meet the changing needs of the Division.
Adjustment of allocation and planning resources to meet the changing priorities of the business.
Development of strategies with the senior management of the Division to capitalize on financial opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 15 years related wholesale planning experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and supervisory abilities.
Technical knowledge in PC based systems and application software
Proficient in Power Point and excel
