When you join PPGNY as the VP Research and Evaluation you will be responsible for leading the agency’s efforts to ensure that its programs reflect best practices, and that evidence informs program design and implementation.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Aids in developing grant proposals, public and private, that support research and program evaluation projects that are relevant to PPGNY’s mission in conjunction with other departmental staff

  • Reviews and approves all internal and external research projects that involve PPGNY clients, staff, and/or polices in conjunction with other executive staff and researchers

  • Implements research and evaluation projects, overseeing and managing projects from design, implementation, analysis, and reporting

  • Consults with all departments and programs on research and evaluation and RQM needs. This may include reviewing or developing tools to collect data from patients or program participants, working with research firms on polling projects, and acting as liaison with consultants and interns to complete specific projects

  • Advances the agency’s role as a leader of knowledge and best practices by analyzing data from agency research projects and disseminating findings. Builds the capacity of agency staff to understand and utilize research and evaluation through trainings and through leadership of agency-wide forums and committees

  • Represents the agency at scientific conferences and meetings, as well as establishes relationships and forms collaborations with external researchers and funders

You have:

  • Doctorate Degree in related field

  • 5-10 years of related and/or applicable experience in departmental and project management of research and RQM related work.

  • Requires at least three (3) years of related and/or applicable experience in research methods, analysis, and reporting.

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills and solid management abilities are a must.

  • Strong statistical analysis and SPSS skills.

All positions at PPGNY require:

Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
