The Vice President, Digital and Ecommerce will be responsible for leading the digital commerce strategy and execution for EILEEN FISHER and drive long-term profitability and increased levels of customer satisfaction through our online channels. The successful candidate will be highly entrepreneurial, embrace collaboration and gain a strong understanding of the brand. They should have extensive knowledge of the components of a profitable ecommerce business, including digital marketing, site experience, analytics, customer insights, order fulfillment, content, site merchandising, customer service, customer journey and technical aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross functional partners including: IT, Buying, Planning, Operations, Logistics, Marketing and Merchandising to ensure all omni channel initiatives are achieved and to provide insights that will drive business across all channels of the organization. They must also have a proven track record in managing the full P&L of a successful E-Commerce business with strong growth trajectory, preferably in the retail/fashion apparel space.


  • Responsible for developing and implementing a seamless, frictionless and well integrated omni channel customer experience.

  • Leverage data to gain better understanding of existing EILEEN FISHER customer and to acquire and retain new customers for future growth.

  • Lead CRM team on execution of acquisition, retention and reactivation campaigns along with segmentation strategies.

  • Develop digital roadmaps and team to execute a best-in-class consumer experience across all digital touchpoints.

  • Lead site digital marketing, user experience, analytics and project management teams.

  • Align digital strategy with marketing, merchandising, IT and digital initiatives to grow online and mobile capabilities.

  • Develop and implement KPI’s for monitoring and evaluating business performance, in partnership with planning and finance team.

  • Work with cross-functional, cross channel teams to drive prioritized initiatives from strategy creation through proof of concept phases. Participates in pilot, rollouts and implementations on an as needed basis.

  • Drive development across multiple teams, business units and phases, aligning business opportunities with the appropriate, cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house and outsourced development.

  • Work closely with and manages strategic vendor partner relationships.

  • Ensure brand consistency and presence on all digital products from planning to design/build/test to successful launch.

  • Develop superior user-focused digital products to drive business growth.

  • Create a dynamic, high-performance coaching culture to attract, retain and motivate talent.

Required Skills

  • 10 years of experience in retail industry; 6+ years of senior management experience in managing e-commerce P&L, with technical skills in e-commerce activities and all online marketing channels, financial principles and e-commerce market development.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, project management, internet marketing, or management information systems from an accredited university required; Master’s or MBA preferred.

  • Experience with International Ecommerce a plus.

  • Previous expertise managing the relationship with an outside photo studio.

  • Demonstrated success in leading transformational change through innovative approaches and collaboration.

  • Proven track record of increasing sales and traffic to corporate/brand websites.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with email marketing, SEO/SEM, paid search, loyalty programs and paid social marketing.

  • Superior analytical skills and experience applying data to make decisions.

  • Project management experience with demonstrated ability to prioritize work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • Experience in e-commerce, shopping carts and website SEO optimization.

  • Expertise with managing medium and large projects spanning multiple calendar quarters.

  • Prior experience working on customer facing retail e-commerce solutions deployment projects is required.

  • Superior experience with Google Analytics and Magento.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the proven ability to build and lead both internal and external teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complicated concepts and recommended courses of action to engage diverse audiences and influence senior executives.
