Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, RWS Global, and CEO CAMP, the VP of Licensing will lead the strategic growth of licensing initiatives for RWS Global and CAMP, an innovative retailer known for combining shopping and play to create memorable family experiences. In collaboration, RWS Global and CAMP aim to expand IP-driven, immersive retail experiences and consumer products globally. This role will manage relationships with studios and IP clients, securing new partnerships and optimizing existing ones to enhance licensed properties within CAMP stores and other RWS Global offerings. The VP of Licensing will also develop strategies for licensing the CAMP brand, support broader licensing efforts for RWS Global experiences, and oversee sponsorship initiatives, working closely with business development, marketing, production, and operations teams to drive revenue growth
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with studios, IP holders, and key partners.
Serve as the primary liaison between RWS Global/CAMP and external licensors, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives.
Negotiate and secure new licensing agreements to expand the portfolio of licensed properties.
Identify and evaluate new licensing opportunities that align with the brands and business goals of RWS Global and CAMP.
Develop and implement comprehensive licensing strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance brand presence.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and execute launch plans for new licensed products and experiences.
Work closely with business development teams to identify market trends and consumer preferences.
Partner with marketing and promotions teams to develop and execute campaigns that maximize the visibility and appeal of licensed properties.
Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of licensed content into CAMP locations and RWS Global projects.
Drive revenue growth through innovative licensing deals and strategic partnerships.
Monitor financial performance of licensing initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.
Develop pricing and royalty structures that are competitive and profitable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in licensing, business development, or a related field.
Proven track record of securing and managing high-value licensing deals.
Strong network within the entertainment, media, and licensing industries.
Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
