Website Product Manager
Practising Law Institute ("PLI"), an innovative leader in legal education programs and services, is searching for a technology professional to fill the role of Website Product Manager. The Website Product Manager will perform continuous prioritization of website roadmap and will work
closely with both the VP Marketing and Digital Systems Associate Director and others to ensure seamless website optimization and impactful deployments. S/he will act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the website, its roadmap, performance and more.

Involves active collaboration across the organization to formulate roadmap, conduct iteration planning, overall strategy, and delivery through regular releases.
Own Google Analytics (GA) for the website and regularly communicate on trends, opportunities and areas for improvement/refinement; enhance GA reporting as necessary.
Validate the use cases and business value of enhancements and new initiatives through managing user testing sessions, gathering data, and sharing findings.
Bring the voice of the customer into the planning by soliciting critical feedback such as customer usage, customer behavior, survey feedback or other business metrics, and incorporating into development ideas for future enhancements.
Maintain an ongoing understanding of PLI users, the PLI business, internal technology, and website projects under development while following Agile methodologies.
Final determination of requirements and "go or no-go" determination around website releases resides with the Website Product Manager, who will work in collaboration with Digital Systems Associate Director, and along with business analysts, subject matter experts, engineers, and others throughout the business to translate the roadmap into well-defined features and approved user stories that balance requirements, user needs, technology realities and business constraints.
Work with internal designers and UI/UX resources to guide the development of interface standards and ensure that features are delivered in conjunction with wireframes and design specifications.
Support project management protocol by coordinating communication to address goals and project timelines.
Provide ongoing website training to internal teams as needed and drive per missioning efforts to support internal controls.
Ensure that website content is tailored to meet SEO needs and maintains ADA compliance; follow best practices and strive to provide robust accessibility for users.
Demo product iterations to the company, including to both technical and non-technical teams.
Conduct annual audit of keyword search and "boost" algorithm; communicate findings and apply necessary adjustments to align with business needs and goals.
Understand organizational efforts on personalization and apply where applicable into the website user experience.
Partner closely with Mobile Product Manager to ensure cross-platform optimization.
Conduct regular discussions with CMS provider to understand product roadmap and voice needed enhancements; manage other outside vendors (market research, design agencies and others) as appropriate.
Provide frontline support in coordination with IT colleagues related to website outages and critical bug fixes and communicate with internal teams on status and messaging.
Represent Website team during regular Product Quarter planning efforts.
Keeps current with advances in technology including current state-of-the-art website capabilities and project management strategies by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks and sharing knowledge with team.
Oversee Website Marketing Manager and help prioritize new website pages, A/B tests, and other website enhancements.
Other duties, as assigned.
The Website Product Manager will also oversee the Website Marketing Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
5+ years experience in digital product management or similar.
Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills.
Bachelor's degree required, with a master's degree in Business Administration a strong plus.
Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus.
Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Knowledge of content management systems is critical.
Excellent understanding of and experience with current web technologies, web design, and user experience; stays current on market trends and other changes in technology.
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Agile and SCRUM approach to software/web development strongly preferred.
Very comfortable working within a hypothesize-build-measure-learn environment that will focus on delivering incremental value quickly to end-users.
Ability to generate data-driven product insights and understands that product decisions must be backed up with data in order to make intelligent decisions.
Displays leadership qualities, project management skills and the ability to engage with others to achieve product vision.
Self-starter with a proven track record for taking ownership and driving meaningful results.
Working knowledge of web analytics tools, project management tools, A/B testing and qualitative feedback tools to inform product decisions.
Diplomatic with strong listening skills and takes a collaborative approach.
