Sesame Workshop Winter 2024 - Production Management Internship in New York, New York
Sesame Street is looking for a Production Management Intern. Production is looking for TV/Film/Video Production and Communication majors for our search for a Winter 2024 Production Management Intern. We are looking for a proactive, driven, problem-solving intern who is passionate about children’s media and interested in learning about all aspects of production. All candidates must be available for a minimum of 3 days a week, in-person and 1 day for remote work, starting mid-January through May. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist Production Management with general administrative tasks and production support (set up meetings etc.) • Assist in running the Production Office for Sesame Street Season 55 at Kaufman Astoria Studios, approx. 3 days a week over 7 weeks. • Assist in managing Sesame Street Tours schedule and responsible for giving Sesame Street Set Tours to Make-A-Wish, auction winners, clients, staff, and guests of cast/crew when in Production. • Complete daily pick-ups and drop-offs with the mailroom as well as production runs, including food and supply runs, as needed. • Complete research projects as requested. • Work with Production Management staff on special projects as requested. • Preparation for recording sessions - scripts/pickups. • Complete the breakdown of scripts for assets and line count for animated projects. • Prepare references/assets for artists/vendors. • Assist with file organization on Teams/One Drive. • Organize AirTable house style library - adding assets, and metadata. • Assist in meeting process -- distribute agendas, and take / distribute notes Requirements: • Must be currently pursuing a degree as a TV/Film/Video Production, Animation, or Communication major and be enrolled as either a Junior or Senior. • This position requires in-person work. Must be available at least 2 days a week. • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel. • Familiarity with Final Draft preferred. • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments. • Strong writing and verbal communication skills. • Extremely self-motivated and flexible. • Thrives in a team environment. • Candidates with an interest in children’s media are highly encouraged to apply.
