PVH Corp. Womens 3D Design Intern -Tommy Hilfger in New York, New York

The PVH Summer Internship Program offers motivated students the opportunity to gain fashion industry experience, with a realistic preview of what it would be like to work at PVH and our iconic brands. This is a paid internship, and you will be provided with meaningful, challenging hands-on tasks, as well as exposure to various parts of our organization. We have a variety of internship opportunities available, supporting one of our brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, IZOD, Arrow; or within one of our Corporate Functions. You will also attend various professional development workshops, industry learning sessions with senior leadership and have the opportunity to meet other interns across brands and functions.

Specifically, for Summer 2021, while we would like to have an in person Internship Program at our office locations, we may need to shift the Program to a virtual or a hybrid approach, pending directed health measures for our local associates. Throughout the recruiting process, we will do our best to share real-time updates on the decision, but interns must be available to work at the planned office location should we have the ability to have part of our Program in person.

The Summer 2021 Internship Program will be 10 weeks and run from June 1st – August 6th.

Here are important dates and expectations to keep in mind (estimated timeframe, subject to change):

  • We have a rolling application deadline for each internship, starting in February. Apply early for greater consideration in the process.

  • Initial screening will be conducted by our recruiting team members via phone or video screen.

  • If you are applying to a design or creative internship (fashion design/technical design/graphic design), please plan to provide 1-2 pages of sample work (such as an online portfolio, illustrations, flat sketches and/or 3D renderings) as a part of the recruiting process.

  • Final interviews will be conducted by our hiring teams via phone or video interview starting late February into early March.

  • Offers will be extended beginning in March and may carry into April, if necessary.

Job summary

Tommy Hilfiger is seeking forward and future-thinking fashion design students with a significant interest in fashion tech, digital and sustainability to be part of our 3D Summer internship program facilitated through our North America corporate offices in New York City. This position will work with the Digital Product Design Team and learn about 3D design, digital creation and all the aspects and opportunities for digital to exist from ideation all the way through to the consumer. Students will take advantage of mentorship & development opportunities, and exposure to all aspects of the fashion industry through a digital lens.

The Digital Product Design Team is a new team for Tommy and our organization. We support many different teams in the execution of digital assets and are responsible for helping map out a digital product life cycle all the way from design to digital consumer engagements. We are helping transform our brand’s digital initiatives and transformation within the industry and proud to have the support of a brand that prides itself on being digital-first and a leading player in the digital fashion space. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Digital Product Design- assist working with cross-divisional design teams in supporting their digital transformation with ideating in 3D

  • Assist DPD Team with asset rendering, creating Gifs and any other digital design-oriented tasks

  • Support in creating 3D resources/quick guides for designers to use in their 3D development process

  • Assist DPD Team in optimizing 3D assets and uploading to our DAM

  • Organize library / support file management

  • Attend meetings for team input and feedback in addition to CF team meetings for learning opportunities


  • Rising junior or senior undergrad student with a declared major in Design or related business area preferred

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA in core major classes preferred

Experience / Skills

  • Previous relevant internship / work experience or demonstrated interest in the industry

  • Demonstrated academic leadership or extra-curricular activity preferred

  • Enthusiasm for the digital transformation of the fashion industry

  • Team player with an eagerness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in 3D digital design applications, Browzwear knowledge a must

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite including Powerpoint

  • Adobe Suite- Photoshop and Illustrator a must

  • Ability to work the entire duration of the Summer program

  • Related major to desired department is a plus

  • Interest in 3D programs (outside of apparel-specific software) tailored to 3D modeling, animation, photography, etc
