Your role at Clorox:

The Assistant Manager, DTC Marketing plays a central role driving customer and revenue growth across a portfolio of omni-channel e-commerce brands including Burt’s Bees, NeoCell, Natural Vitality, and Brita. Specifically, the Assistant Manager will drive campaign planning and execution for Display, Video, and Audio channels, as well as lead the team’s new channel testing program. AM will combine strategic thinking with executional excellence to develop cross-functional programs that accelerate our growth, working closely with colleagues on our Retention, Brand, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Merchandising, and Creative teams.

In this role, you will:

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work with Marketing team leaders to set each brand’s channel strategy, budget, audience targets, and testing calendar. Brainstorm new campaign concepts with DTC’s Creative and Product teams.

  • Drive channel testing innovation to grow each brand’s customer base. Work with DTC colleagues to develop hypotheses, support measurement plans, and set success criteria. Find and onboard new agency and ad tech partners as needed.

  • Own end-to-end campaign development from planning to execution including creative briefing, ad trafficking set up, campaign optimization. Drive strategic and operational efficiency by sizing and independently prioritizing opportunities with an eye towards applying findings across multiple brands.

  • Support channel offer strategies and lead new product launches. Understand how each of these connect to a brand’s retail and Amazon marketing plans.

  • Use data to artfully tell a story about marketing performance, building partners’ confidence in DTC capabilities.

About You

You are a seasoned acquisitions marketer with a growth hacker / start-up mentality who can bring shopping journeys to life through a variety of channel strategies and tactics. You embody our group’s fail fast mentality by developing tests and iterating on learnings across channels, creative formats, messages, and audiences. You’re passionate about ad tech and thrive on the data that powers results. You enjoy working within a team of energetic, collaborative marketers but are equally comfortable operating independently to bring projects to completion. You’re also a strong communicator who mentors and educates colleagues throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience. 5+ years preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in high-growth environment with proven track record testing and scaling new marketing channels. Previous Display experience required. E-commerce experience is a plus.

  • Proven experience building and managing a testing program that uncovers new audiences, creative insights, and

  • Demonstrated success optimizing for ROAS and new customer growth across multiple channels.

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads platform, DSPs, and the broader display ecosystem.

  • Ability to quickly pivot thinking between brands is essential.

  • Ability to work across multiple brands that have different target audiences, budgets, and products. Comfortable pivoting quickly to meet each brand’s priorities. Strong analytical skills. 

  • Must be adept at using multiple platforms to access and analyze data with an emphasis on driving decision-making.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. 

  • Eagerness to contribute to the team’s culture of curiosity and shared problem-solving.

  • Willingness to seek out answers, explore out of the box solutions, and track down resources. Strong problem-solving skills, especially when dealing with ambiguity.

  • Candidate will ideally be located in New York but open to remote based on candidate location.
