Ankura Marketing Manager, U.S., Marketing & Communications in New York

We are looking for a seasoned, data-driven marketing executive who can provide immediate value and strategic insight to the firm, with the ability to quickly understand business goals, set a strategy and plan that aligns with them, and manage the day-to-day tactical execution to achieve them. You will be responsible for planning, execution, and measurement of brand, marketing, PR campaigns, events, webinars, content development, ABM, and digital marketing programs to help position Ankura as a leading advisory and expert services firm. To be successful in this role, you need to manage multiple complex priorities with demanding time frames, provide leadership, strategic insight, vision, direction, and execution for the U.S. marketing team. You will also need extensive digital technology skills to help grow the footprint and brand for the Firm that aligns with business development goals.

Role Overview:

This position is part of the Global Marketing & Communications team within Ankura Business Services, our internal firm services function, and reports directly to the Head of Communication & Marketing. A growth mindset is required for success in this role to find innovative ways to drive outreach, cultivate retention, and build on the Ankura brand. Our highly collaborative consulting practice supports high profile global clients. A strategic thinker, communicator, writer, and storyteller with an eye for creative marketing and communications is required of the U.S. Marketing Manager. Every project and associated collateral must demonstrate brand identity and alignment.

The Marketing & Communications team priorities include, among others:

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT:

Set the go-to-market strategy and plan for the firm’s business groups and offerings – develop and own end-to-end campaign management, ensure timely and high-quality asset production, and delivery for brand and targeted marketing and communications programs.

-Work with management, gain an understanding of the requirements of each project, determine which team members need to be involved, engage the project team, and facilitate regular meetings.

COLLABORATING:

Work closely with and manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure objectives are met, in partnership with the central marketing and communications team, for successful delivery and maximum ROI for all campaigns and programs.

CO-CREATING:

Work with executive-level subject matter experts to drive strategy and marketing materials for both internal and external audiences.

IMPLEMENTING:

  • Work with integrated team to develop and drive impactful content, messaging, and collateral to targeted audiences.

  • Create and develop new opportunities, including events, campaigns, webinars, and technical seminars.

  • Manage and execute digital, email, social and traditional media, and ABM campaigns.

  • Review and ensure quality deliverables for all marketing and communication activities.

MEASURING:

Use Google Analytics, Salesforce, Hubspot, and other data metrics to define and measure campaign and overall program success.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

Lead, mentor, and support the team, providing clear direction and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or other 4-year University Degree or equivalent, preferably in English, journalism, marketing, public relations, communications or business studies.

  • 7+ years of experience, in some combination of management consulting, CRM, digital marketing/media

  • Experience in professional services/consulting strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of enabling growth through innovative and strategic marketing solutions

  • Campaign planning and management

  • Reporting, analyses, and KPI measurement

  • Content and thought leadership creation

  • Digital marketing expertise

  • Brand management

  • Public relations and communications

  • Excellent copy writing and editing skills

  • Executive presence

  • Able to make quantitatively oriented recommendations to solve business problems, based on real customer information and trends

  • Manage expectations and feedback from multiple stakeholders on multiple concurrent projects

  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
