NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Post-doctoral lecturer in New York
The Department of French invites applications for three post-doctoral lecturer positions for academic year 2021-22, pending budget approval. This position is for NYU PhD's only.
Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester. One of the six courses may be a core course, pending availability. Total compensation will be $40,000 (subject to taxation).
The department will entertain applications from students who received their Ph.D. in the 2020-21 academic year (Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Summer 2021).
For students who will graduate in Summer 2021: if you are selected for a position,
(1.) the department must receive by July 31 a signed Doctoral Thesis Reader Sheet from the primary adviser approving the dissertation for defense;
(2.) the document must also be completed and submitted to the committee by July 31;
(3.) The dissertation must be successfully defended and deposited to the Graduate School on or before September 1, 2021 in time for the September 2021 graduation deadlines.
Failure to meet any of these deadlines will result in a failure to meet criteria for employment in a postdoctoral capacity in the Department.
Applications consist of a cover letter (detailing your field of research and future research plans, as well as your departmental service record), curriculum vitae, and teaching statement, and should be submitted as a single PDF document labeled with the applicant's last name and position applied for (e.g. Name Post-Doc.pdf) via Interfolio by end of business day on April 15, 2021.
