Job Summary:
Vail Resorts is looking to hire a Senior Manager of Visitation Analytics. As the Senior Manager of Visitation Analytics you will lead analyses to support visitation growth strategies, in-season execution, and financial budget planning for resort visitation. In addition, the role will support strategic planning for the lift ticket business.
This individual should have a proven track record as a high potential talent demonstrating leadership, drive, business acumen, and emotional intelligence. This is a highly visible analytical role and relationship building will be a key component of success. The position requires the ability to analyze data and to provide strategic insights with actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner to stakeholders across departments. Strong presentation skills and an aptitude for condensing large amounts of data into a meaningful story are critical, and the role requires the individual to balance a service-driven approach to support with an honest and independent assessment of marketing effectiveness.

The budgeted range starts at $116,040.30 - $143,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:
[Analysis & Reporting] Manage the creation, development, and distribution of reporting related to guest visitation, acquisition, and behavior. Generate in-depth analysis to formulate insights based on identified customer motivators, behavioral drivers, and marketing programs impacting customer decision making.
[Strategy Development] Work with leadership to define the strategic priorities for resort visitation. This includes partnering with resort teams to identify key areas of opportunity across the business, size the impact of strategic initiatives, and iterate with stakeholders to drive towards execution.
[Presentation] Communicate conclusions, implications, and recommendations of analyses in a clear, concise fashion; advise and influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive more effective marketing strategies and decisions.
[Prioritization] Prioritize projects to balance the support of broad initiatives, recurrent reporting and proactive analysis with the direct requests of the marketing team. Evaluate the potential impact of analysis and effectively manage timeline communication and expectations.
Job Requirements:
Very strong quantitative and analytic skills with demonstrated success in analytical or financial roles – preferred 4-5 years previous experience in consulting, marketing analytics, direct marketing, investment banking, financial analysis or other similar field.
Preferred: Masters or MBA in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics, with a focus on quantitative analysis.
Proven experience communicating actionable recommendations and insights based upon data-driven insights to business stakeholders.
Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication, adjusting message to audience. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong project management skills are essential. Must be able to own and drive multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functionally within the organization.
Demonstrated success working with large data sets; experience with analytic tools/software such as Tableau, Alteryx, and similar programs preferred; experience with data processing (SQL) also a plus.
Advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) required.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $116,040.30 - $143,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
