We are seekingVendor Zone Monitorswho play an essential role in the US Open guest experience.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist all staff and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner
Report unattended bags and packages, medical situations, incidents, or emergencies immediately to the command center
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the cleaning vendor and their management team
Supervise and actively monitor performance of the cleaning vendor’s staff under your assigned location throughout the day to ensure the following:
Vendor’s management team uses and maintains clip boards with each days deployment containing employee names, shift times and deployment locations
Review contractual deployment schedule for your area and ensure contractual headcount/staffing levels are achieved by vendor
Identify all issues noted (i.e. Unfilled cleaning positions, tardiness, poor performance, etc.) to Facility Operations Manager in real-time
All staff are present each day and throughout their entire shift at their defined employment location
Proactive cleaning of all responsible locations assigned and minimal disturbances throughout their shift (i.e. loitering, unapproved breaks, etc.)
Cleaning vendor staff are in compliance with uniform policy and are well groomed
Sufficient coverage plan during high traffic time (i.e. lunch) and managers are breaking staff at times convenient to our operations
Create and maintain daily logs detailing all activities of the on-site cleaning services vendor
Act as a liaison between the USTA and the on-site cleaning services vendor to efficiently dispatch cleaning services staff where/when necessary
Perform daily inspections of assigned area to locate safety hazards and report to the Facility Operations Manager
Various duties as assigned by the Facility Operations Manager and Senior Director
Qualifications
Previous guest or customer service related experience in a supervisory capacity
Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament
Must be able to work 12+ hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand for extended periods
Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
Bilingual (preferred)
Salary: $16 per hour; overtime eligible
$35 daily meal allowance during tournament (via credential)
