Worker will perform any combination of tasks involved in the operation of tractors and farm equipment. Worker will adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions, Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Workers will perform any combination of duties consistent with harvesting fruits such as summer pruning, hand thinning, weeding, tilling soil, applying fertilizer, transplanting, driving tractor to mow and spray, loading harvested fruit, constructing trellis, repairing fences and farm buildings, plow, harrow, fertilize, plant, and cultivate, bin repair, clean and maintain irrigation ditches, apple harvest. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. The activities outlined in the job description will be conducted solely on the worksite which is owned and operated by the employer.
Requirements:
- Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of three months verifiable experience.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Repetitive movements/extensive pushing or pulling/extensive sitting or walking/frequent stooping.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
