The New York State Bridge Authority (NYSBA) Summer Internship is a 12-week, full-time, paid program offering a unique opportunity for motivated and high-potential individuals interested in building a career at a fast-paced, dynamic, public transportation authority. Participants will have the opportunity to gain meaningful developmental and work experience during this program, with exposure to real-world projects and experts in their field. The program also offers a Career Awareness component every other Friday to build cross-functional expertise and to allow time to develop functional, technical and leadership competencies. For 2024, we will be offering summer internships in the following functional areas:·Seasonal Maintenance (23)·Safety & Security (2)·Human Resources (1)·Information Technology (1)·Engineering (1)·Executive Leadership (1)Pay Rate: $20 per HourLife After the ProgramIn addition to adding value to live projects at NYSBA, you will have the opportunity to meet with Senior Leadership from many different departments with years of experience in a number of fields. To maximize your learning, the program is designed to provide you with both job experience and hands-on classroom instruction. The program is also designed to increase career awareness in the transportation industry as well as focus on building leadership, communication skills and time management.By the end of the program, interns will have unique insight into career paths available at NYSBA and other local industries through hands-on exposure to career-specific presentations. This program will provide you with an opportunity to experience a full-time workload, while providing you with the opportunity to identify career goals, discover what you enjoy doing and what you are good at.
