Covanta Projects LLC Intern in Niagara Falls, New York
Join us in creating a sustainable future and becoming a protector of tomorrow!Covanta Niagara is seeking two engineering students to be placed in our paid internship program. Required hours are 25-30 hours per week. This internship is for summer 2022, for 8 consecutive weeks.One candidate will report directly to the Plant Facility Engineer and will assist in plant engineering responsibilities. The other candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and will assist in plant operations. These internships are an opportunity to gain an introduction to process engineering in a large industrial facility. As such, these positions will also support the Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Health and Safety departments as required.Positive Requirements:- Must be self-motivated and able to take direction and work independently on assigned tasks.- Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet deliverable deadlines.- Experience with MS Office.- Position is approximately 50% office / 50% field.- Trade experience (mechanical, welding, electrical controls, etc.) is preferred.- Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
