Bartender for Tioga Golf Club

Job Description summary:

Responsible for the beverage service to bar guests and Beverage/Food Servers in an assigned service station ensuring efficient and prompt service for restaurant customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

  • Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

  • Responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic beverage and/or non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to established recipes and procedures.

  • Responsible for mixing and serving beverages in a service station capacity to Beverage/Food Servers in a prompt and efficient manner.

  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer count.

  • Responsible for receiving, issuing and keeping necessary records of liquor and supplies.

  • Maintains a neat and clean bar station on a continual basis.

  • Knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and Bartender’s responsibilities and rights under it.

  • Knowledge of all NYS Commercial Gaming and beverage regulations.

  • Participates as a team member with all Beverage Servers, Barbacks, Utilities, Supervisors and any other associates to ensure efficient operational standard.

  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of two to three years previous experience required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, simple instructions, short correspondence and recipes.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting and basic volume measurements.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
