Job Description

Build the future of NNL Facilities information management! The Enterprise Strategic Infrastructure (ESI) subdivision is in need of staff to support corporate real property facility data management system design and implementation. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated exceptional team building, systems thinking and innovative application of information technology throughout their careers to date.

Become part of a high performing multi-disciplined team with a mission to innovate how NNL collects, displays and interprets business data. The selected candidate will work with the rest of the integrated workplace management system (IWMS) development team to develop and integrate corporate information technology tools as well as evaluate new technologies and cloud based data management solutions for future implementation. This role canbe performed from any NNL Site and may require some travel to support training, strategic planning and in-person executive briefings. Corporate responsibilities include routine engagement with IWMS (currently the IBM Tririga application) users spanning the NNL Facilities Engineering, Directorate Management Offices and Naval Reactors. Additionally, the selected candidate is expected to participate in corporate conference and bench marking activities that require travel and interactions aimed at learning to improve NNL real property asset management tools and processes. This position seeks one seasoned professional to join the IWMS development team in making NNL more efficient and effective in maintaining real property assets. Experience developing key performance indicator displays, configuring dashboard display software or developing applications using data warehousing software is critical. The successful candidate will be responsible for following software compliance and documentation standards and serve as an interface between the IT organization (e.g. Oracle database administrators and Cyber Security staff) and various facility information consumer groups (e.g. Management teams, NNL Facility Information Management System (FIMS) team, Facilities Engineering groups, Naval Reactors and NR Local Field Office personnel) to ensure the information technology needs of those user communities are addressed.

Required Skills

Proficient with MS Access, PowerPoint and Word

Advanced MS Excel capabilities to include VBA macros or Pivot Tables

Experience creatingdata displays with Power BI and/or Python

Experience programming in any computer language

Database experience with MS Access, MS SQL or Oracle

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Experience collaborating across geographic and organizational boundaries

Demonstrated systems thinking ability in any of the relevant experience areas listed below

Demonstrates continuous improvement principles in day to day work

Advanced:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years relevant experience; or

Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience

Senior:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years relevant experience; or

Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of fouryears relevant experience

Relevant experience is defined as applied effort in the functional role of IT project analyst, IT project manager, IT project engineer, systems engineer or engineering technologist, programmer, database administrator, systems analyst or business analyst.

Preferred Skills

Active Q-level clearance

Experience working with IBM Tririga, CAD, BIM, ESRE GIS,Primavera P6,or Oracle BI-BA either as a user or programmer

VBA, Python, SQL or Java programming experience

Exposure to various data warehousing and dashboard display software tools

Experience using Crystal, BIRT, Cognos, Tableau, QLIK or similar data reporting tools

Experience preparing technical reports of status or condition assessment

Experience coding interfaces between applications

Experience with cloud-based data management tools

Qualified Lean or Change Management practitioner
