    Salary: Current Salary per GTA Contract

    Report Times: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Daily Hours: 7

    Work Year: 2025-2026

    Supervisor: Shawnna Sweet

    Minimum Requirements:

    NYS Certification in ESOL

    Meeting or exceeding standards as defined by the District Professional Performance Review

    Willingness to serve in role for a minimum of three (3) years

    Desired Qualifications:

    Experience and willingness to support all grade levels and subpopulations of ELLs

    Strong knowledge of CR Part 154 Regulations

    Expertise in research and methodologies for teaching English language learners

    Background knowledge and/or experience in curriculum development

    Background knowledge and/or experience in educational leadership

    Background knowledge and/or experience in instructional coaching and providing professional learning

    Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills

    Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability

    Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity

    Position Summary/Responsibilities:

    Work directly with students, teachers, and administrators to identify and support ELL student achievement

    Support technology and curriculum programs for assessment, instruction, and family engagement

    Analyze student data and collaborate with teachers and administrators to determine instructional implications

    Develop research-based professional development aligned with department goals

    Schedule & facilitate the ELL ID Process throughout the school year in accordance with CR Part 154 regulations, including Individual Interview, NYSITELL, SIFE Screeners, Intake packer at Language Proficiency Team.

    Plan and provide outreach to Multilingual families by facilitating programs such as the ENL Family Program

    Support the district’s supplemental programming such as International Academy, ENL Summer Program and the Puerto Rican Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute

    Support the district’s Curriculum Review Cycle for ENL and content instruction

    Support the district’s Seal of Biliteracy program

    Collaborate with district leadership on NYSESLAT training, administration and scoring

    Contribute to the department’s staff and family newsletters

    Provide outreach to Foreign Exchange students

    Support the MTSS Process for multilingual learners as needed

    May be required to mentor new hires across the district as needed with supervisor approval

    May be required to provide coverage at various buildings across the district as needed with supervisor approval
