Material Handler: Bulk Unloading
JOB SUMMARY:
The Bulk Unloading Handler is responsible to manually lift and hand load bulk raw material product from the shipping container including stacking and sorting items onto pallets for processing.
Additional warehouse duties as determined by the demands of the business may include assisting with the movement tasks to the bulk metal detecting station and to ensure the received product is scanned as scheduled for the day.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform manual lifting & hand loading the received bulk product onto pallets and/or the Metal Detector.
Perform routine warehouse duties including but not limited to:
 Cleaning & sanitization along with zone/warehouse cleaning.
May operate the Bulk Metal Detector Machine in a backup capacity which includes loading/unloading the bulk product on the conveyer belt and monitoring operation for detection signal.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment and report any repair needs or safety concerns to Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
 Ability to work overtime if needed, on Saturday and Sunday occasionally, as required, and any other days and hours as deemed necessary for business and requested by CEO, or Director of Operations.
 Entry level warehouse experience is helpful

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
 Ability to lift heavy objects on a continual basis for the duration of scheduled shift (with breaks) Required to solo lift 50+ Lbs. repeatedly; 75 Lbs. as part of a two-man lift.
 Ability to judge distances
 Ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing
 Ability to work independently

EQUIPMENT, MACHINES AND SOFTWARE USED
This position may require the use of a bulk metal detecting machine.

MENTAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
Confidentiality, and a positive attitude. Must be able to stay focused, and stay alert to moving vehicles/react quickly to mechanical equipment movement/changes.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Work may be physically demanding. While performing the duties of this position, the employee has to react quickly, stay highly focused to surroundings, is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time lift, push, pull, steer, hear, talk, handle controls (holding, grasping, turning or otherwise work with the hand or hands/wrist), work with the fingers primarily for lifting packaged product.
