The State University of New York at Oneonta is establishing a pool of applicants for a potential adjunct teaching position(s). Applications will be kept on file for consideration for two years and drawn upon to provide temporary staffing when needed. An appointment will be for one semester, with the possibility of extension. We actively seek adjunct faculty members who are scholar-practitioners: professionals who are actively and successfully engaged in their field who additionally wish to help the next generation of professionals grow in their knowledge and expertise through education.

A day in the life includes:
Teaching an undergraduate course(s) in the area of study
Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
Developing and implementing course material
Holding office hours
Grading student coursework
Advising students on how to be successful in class
Completing a course assessment at the end of the semester
Developing and managing the class syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standards.

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in the specified field; in rare cases, documented professional experience in the field may be considered with a bachelor's degree.
Proficiency in written communication, presentation, and collaborative skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree
Prior teaching experience
Experience with Brightspace, Degree works, and/or Microsoft Software
Preference will be given to applicants with prior college-level teaching experience with in-person modalities.
