SUNY Oneonta seeks highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach day and evening courses within the Music Department's two major degree programs, a BA in Music and a BA in Music Industry.

Adjunct instructors augment the faculty by providing coverage related to applied music instruction, music theory, music history and literature, music performance, music industry, and audio production, among other areas as dictated by Departmental needs. The Music Department offers applied music instrumental lessons in a wide range of contemporary instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, voice), classical instruments (brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, voice), and music technology (DAWS, electronic digital instruments, synthesis, and music production).

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in music, music industry or related fields from an accredited college or university (master's degree or doctoral degree also considered).

  • Professional experience in an appropriate area of practice.

  • A commitment to teaching excellence, student engagement, and student success.

  • Prior teaching experience is preferred, but all eligible applicants are encouraged to apply.
