The Division of University Advancement at the State University of New York Oneonta invites applications for the position ofManager of Foundation and Corporate Giving Programs.
The Division of University Advancement raises charitable gifts and grants, strengthens alumni programs, traditions and networks, and builds sustaining long-term relationships that enhance the financial resources, reputation and visibility of the university. The successful candidate will join an experienced, dynamic Advancement team that has forward momentum as it completes the Grow. Thrive. Live. comprehensive campaign. Duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and submit grant proposals to foundations and corporations that support theRegaining Momentumagenda and priorities of SUNY Oneonta.
Identify and apply to new funding sources to broaden the scope and range of proposals as identified by the SUNY Oneonta/University Grants Team, which includes the Associate Director of Scholarly Activities and the Sr. Grants Writer in the Office of Sponsored Programs, and by meeting regularly with them.
Work with campus colleagues, alumni, University Foundation board members, and potential funding sources in the development of proposals.
Fulfill a leadership role in comprehensive campaigns such as the current Grow.Thrive.Live campaign which has exceeded its $25 million goal.
Participate in the travel grant review committee, which awards funds to students for attendance at professional conferences and workshops.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Strong communication skills.
Familiarity with grant proposals.
Experience working with foundation databases or similar software.
Experience developing community relationships and partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in securing funds through private foundations and corporations.
Experience working as a member of an Advancement team.
Experience working in higher education.
Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
