Instrumentation Laboratory Operations Intern in Orangeburg, New York

Overview:

Assist the Manufacturing Teams with the following tasks: Investigatation of current processes, capturing process details, creation of new Standard Production Methods (SPMs), and implementation of new methods into eDHR (Electronic Device History Records).

 

Additional tasks may be assigned based on the progression of the main objectives:

Scope, plan and execute process change requests or improvements issued internally. Requests include improvements to manufacturing efficiencies, improvements to product quality, and resolution of technical issues. All changes to be executed with the guidance of Manufacturing Team leaders and/or Engineering.

Position Description

• Develop or update Standard Production Method Documentation for key Lyophilization and Filling processes.

• Initiate Change Orders to implement new documentation and corrosponding eDHR components.

• Utilize GMP, GDP, and Werfen interal procedures, processes, and systems to perform document updates.

Key Attributes 

The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit the following skills and capabilities:

Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system is strongly preferred.
Experience in writing technical documentation or procedures is strongly preferred.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Education: The ideal candidate will be entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year working towards a degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial engineering or equivalent.

Experience: At least of prior summer internship in a manufacturing industry such as: pharmaceutical, medical devices, automobile and aerospace is strongly preferred.
