Overview:

The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students with leadership potential and proven academic performance. Werfen hires students majoring in Engineering and Life Sciences fields into this internship program based on business need. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.

Position Description

  • To perform entry level work of a routine nature requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related tasks.

  • The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team included aiding other departments as they relate to department projects. We expect the intern to gain an in-depth knowledge of the product and its associated processes, particularly the process activities in-which they will be directly involved. The intern will have opportunities to assist in nearly all aspects of the workflow.

  • Supply Chain department of Global Medical Device company seeking a summer intern for various supply chain projects. Exposure to MRP systems, production planning, business analysis projects. Great opportunity to gain experience working inside a world-class supply chain organization and well-organized and maintained GMP production / MRP environment.

Key Attributes

  • Requires confidence in using Microsoft Word and Excel tools.

  • Process changes to MRP elements (Bills of Material / Routers / etc.)

  • Assist in building business cases to support initiatives

  • Enter stock transport orders

  • Logistics support

  • Additional Ad-Hoc projects as needed

  • Able to create V-Lookups and Filters inside tables

  • Requires Enthusiasm, motivation, initiative and ability to work within an interactive and energetic workplace.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Has completed some undergraduate coursework, ideally in business, supply chain, or industrial engineering

  • Ability to multitask.
