Provide various forms of care coordination by relaying medication statuses with patient/counselor and following up on completion of releases, paperwork, status update reports, and/or applications.
Secure insurance authorizations as required for medications, alternate care levels, etc.
Conduct toxicology tests on patients.
Ensure follow-up on receipt of physical examinations or any medically-related information.
Respond to walk-ins presenting at the clinic in crisis situations.
Review and flag patient records to ensure required updates are prepped and/or made in a timely fashion.
Successfully complete internal training and credentialing process to perform approved clinical services, such as educational and process group activities.
Have the ability to relate to mentally ill or chemically dependent individuals and their families of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as have the ability to interact with them in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner.
Have the ability to prioritize work tasks and complete work accurately and on time despite frequent interruptions.
Have the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
Have the ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion.
Have the ability to learn and apply Horizon Health Services Policy and Procedures and commit to adherence of privacy regulations.
Possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Have experience working in a computerized office environment with word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills sufficient to prepare correspondence, reports, and forms.

Bachelor's degree preferred
Associate's degree with 3 years of experience in the behavioral health field
High school diploma with 6 years of experience in the behavioral health field
