Cybex U.S. Corp. Technician - Cathodic Protection in Orchard Park, New York
We are a small consulting business that provides Cathodic Protection surveys and designs for natural gas pipeline operators. We seek entry-level technicians who can operate handheld electronic equipment and perform basic tasks essential for data collection. No experience necessary, but candidates with experience in electrical engineering, natural sciences, corrosion or outdoor excursion planning may be better suited for the position. Enjoyment of the rugged outdoors is helpful and hoped for. Additionally, candidates with experience will be considered for more advanced positions.

• have a valid Driver License and pass a pre-employment drug test.
• be willing to travel via company vehicle throughout New York and Pennsylvania for 1-12 days at a time (vehicle is provided by, and travel expenses are paid by the Company).

• work outdoors regularly between late spring and late fall.
On a typical work day, a technical crew uses computerized equipment to take electrical voltage readings on natural gas pipeline rights-of-way and related facilities. A large portion of work is spent driving, walking, recording field notes, operating computerized handheld equipment and making logistical plans. Crews work full-time from late March to late December. Some overtime and weekend work is required.
Not all work requires overnight travel, but much of it does. Overnight travel is primarily to southwestern New York and western Pennsylvania. Company vehicles are provided by, and meal/lodging expenses are paid by the Company. Regular time off is provided.
Position is seasonal (April - December every year). Candidates with advanced qualifications may have year-round work.
