The Department of Athletics at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for a part-time, term Assistant Diving coach position.

Posting Date: September 16, 2021

Description of Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Head Diving Coach, the Assistant Diving Coach will assist in all aspects of a competitive SUNY Oswego Swimming and Diving team including recruiting, program administration, and coaching all throwing events. The Assistant Coach will work approximately 6-8 hours each week through the end of the season, on/around February 19, 2022.

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Organizing, scheduling, and conducting practices and competitions.

  • Ensuring program compliance with all college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Assisting with administrative duties such as scheduling, making team travel arrangements, home meet management, monitoring academic progress of students, roster management, collaborating with the equipment staff on the distribution and maintenance of athletic equipment, and providing the Sports Information staff with appropriate information for publications and press releases.

  • Evenings and weekends and travel as required

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required

  • Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with competitive diving

  • Evidence of a commitment to the college's values of diversity, equity and inclusion
