The Lockheed Martin Owego (New York) Systems Engineering team is looking for experienced, mid-career Data Fusion / Situational Awareness Systems Engineers to join our team. The selected individuals will work as part of a dynamic Engineering team supporting systems integration activities for military aircraft platforms. Activities and responsibilities will include collaborating with multiple engineering fields (hardware, software, and specialty engineering) as well as equipment suppliers, supporting requirements definition, developing software requirement specifications, developing and leading Data Fusion software product lines, and other design artifacts/activities for the successful integration of avionics subsystems onto government rotary wing aircraft contracts and programs.

Our most current needs are for team members experienced with developing, integrating, and testing embedded software systems. Areas of engagement include systems and software development teams.

System engineering tasks may include: technical trade studies, requirements allocation and equipment interface definitions, system design, translation of customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, product line development, documentation review and update, equipment and software integration, lab regression testing, flight test support, analysis & documentation of problem trouble reports, written and verbal status of testing progress to the concurrent engineering team.

Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse, New York, sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" Binghamton University, Ithaca College and Cornell University. Extraordinary metropolitan weekend getaways with friends are just a few hours away and include areas such as Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia. Basic Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance.

Technical or small team leadership experience.

Data Fusion / Situational Awareness systems engineering experience, preferably working military programs.

Experience decomposing requirements, developing systems engineering work products, and integrating complex systems.

Previous Systems Engineering experience across the entire program life cycle within military aircraft / avionics architectures and associated off-board support systems.

Familiar with or working knowledge of rotary wing aircraft including various sensors and systems.

Familiarity or experience with agile development.

Ability to communicate on all levels both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers; demonstrated technical leadership.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work effectively in a team environment.
