Lockheed Martin Electrical Engineer (Test Equipment) - Intern in Owego, New York

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) in Owego, New York is seeking a full time Summer 2023 Electrical Engineering Intern. In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers to design custom test racks and cabling using commercial equipment, support the parts procurement and build of your designed test rack and validation of performance of test racks for programs that supports mission systems of fixed or rotary wing aircraft. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-focused, and capable of multi-tasking. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

The Locale: Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours’ drive from Owego. Rolling hillsides, historic homes, quaint country shops, riverside restaurants, fabulous festivals and a beautiful river make this region a great place to live.

Basic Qualifications:

-Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related discipline

-Experience and/or knowledge of basic electronic measurement equipment (Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) and it's application to collect test data and analysis

-Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

-Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

Electrical (Electronics) Engineering:

- Analog, Digital and power supply circuit design

- Familiarity with processor design & architecture

- Designing custom test racks using commercial equipment for validating and evaluating customer hardware performance

-Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
