Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Asc (Avionics) – Entry Level in Owego, New York

We are seeking talented electrical, systems, or computer engineers to join our team to help develop many best-in-class products and solutions in our Rotary Mission Systems business area in Owego, New York.

In this position, you will:

• Support government rotary wing aircraft contracts and programs

• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, allocate requirements, and define equipment interfaces

• Perform technical trade studies and support selection of optimal design solutions

• Integrate hardware and software, conduct lab regression tests, support flight test. Analyze, document and troubleshoot any resulting problem trouble reports

• Work in a collaborative team environment that includes Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Suppliers, and Customers

Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse, New York, sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University, Ithaca College and Cornell University. Great metropolitan weekend getaways with friends are just a few hours away and include areas such as Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Engineering. Mathematics, Physics, or avionics-related degrees will also be considered

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment

• Ability to obtain DoD Secrete Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of system design, requirements definition and documentation

* Familiarity with SysML and Model-Based Systems Engineering toolsets (Cameo, Rhapsody)

* Knowledge of system verification/test documentation and conduct

* Experience troubleshooting hardware/software deficiencies
