To be considered for an internship at Corning Incorporated, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
M-F 8am – 5pm
Duration: Summer 2021, 8-12 weeks
Scope of Position:
The intern will work within the Business Application service line on a key initiative that will provide IT the needs for future state success.
The intern will build relationships and partnerships throughout the IT organization, spanning into other service lines.
The intern will learn how to analyze data trends, draw conclusions, and provide valuable recommendations.
Deliver strong project management through the project initiation and planning phases.
Thoroughly understand the nature of the business requirement for the project and recommend important strategic decisions to define the overall project work.
Develop project scopes, objectives, and key deliverables, establishing overall project requirements and plans.
Develop and deliver clear and concise project presentations
Pull together metrics and data for statistical analysis using MS Excel or other metric software.
Work to build business partnerships with other service lines needed to complete the project, pulling required information and data from other sources.
Education and Experience:
Enrolled in Computer Science or Information Technology program
Course work completed to include leading a team project and statistics
Relevant experience a plus
Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to think outside the box, listen to different points of view and developing common view
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to build relationships and interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information
Flexibility - Able to change and adjust smoothly as the situation demands
Ability to pull data together from multiple inputs
Comfortable with timebound assignments and rapidly changing priorities with evolving requirements
