Facilities Manager is responsible for the security and upkeep of all facilities, equipment, and supplies of the camp.

  • Facilities Manager will remain on the camp grounds and available to assist as needed according to a predetermined schedule (based on Camp facility usage). A monthly work schedule will be generated and agreed upon prior to all camp periods and activities.

  • Program Secretary and DYS will work together with the Facilities Manager to determine work schedules and to review on-going maintenance work projects.

  • Oversee the water treatment and sewage facilities, secure and maintain appropriate licensing and certification.

  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date inventory of all related equipment and supplies.

  • Maintain all facility equipment in good working order. Schedule routine maintenance of large equipment items (i.e.: freezers, refrigerators, lawnmowers, etc.) as needed.

  • Report periodically to Program Secretary, temperature readings of kitchen equipment – keeping the Administrator fully informed of all concerns and recommendations for repairs, etc.

  • Develop and maintain, in consultation with the Program Secretary a five-year maintenance plan/schedule which will focus on and cover all aspects of maintenance of all camp facilities – including painting, repairs, replacements, etc.

  • During Summer Youth Camp, provide supervision as necessary to the summer camp maintenance staff – in conjunction with the DYS and Program Secretary.

  • Responsible for the up-keep and maintenance of the house assigned, making sure that all repairs are completed in a timely manner so as to keep the house in good order.

  • Maintain all facilities to meet State Department of Health and ACA guidelines and standards. Prepare and maintain the facilities for all inspections.

  • Assist with routine housekeeping tasks as necessary.

  • Provide general oversight of the Assistant Facilities Manager and Maintenance Staff.

  • Communicate promptly with Program Secretary concerning any facility needs that require the expenditure of Salvation Army funds.

  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Program Secretary.

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:• Three years of related experience in grounds maintenance, general construction, heating and air, basic plumbing and electrical• Supervisory experience a must.• Must operate tools, lawn and snow removal equipment in a safe manner.• Must have basic janitorial skills (cleaning, painting, small building repairs)• Must possess a valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.• Water Treatment Plant Operator Class IIA• Certified Pool Operator• Valid Driver License that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.We are an equal opportunity employer.
