Duties: Perform any combination of the following duties in connection with nursery related work. Prepare soil and growth media, cultivate, prune, and otherwise participate in horticulture activities. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to grow and harvest nursery stock, plants, and trees. Haul and spread top soil, fertilizer, etc. to condition land. Tie, bunch, wrap and pack flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees. Harvest full-grown crops requiring digging, balling, and heavy lifting. Mix chemical solutions, such as fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides and spray plants.
Requirements: * Must have 3 months verifiable experience in above duties * Exposure to extreme temps, repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping. * Lifting requirement of 80 lbs. with assistance * Post-hire drug screening at employers expense may be required.
