Overview

The Bonadio Group currently has a need for an Assistant Controller (Internal Finance Team). In conjunction with the Controller, the Assistant Controller will work with internal customers to manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

Responsibilities

Assist in the month end closing process
Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reporting
Assist with preparation for audits
Provide Ad Hoc Reporting as required
Assist with the budgeting process
Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes
Develop and monitor business performance metrics
Prepare sales and use tax returns
Maintain sub-ledgers
Identify and solve discrepancies in Accounting Records
Collaborate with Tax team to drive the Corporate Tax Preparation

Qualifications

Required:
A minimum of a bachelors degree in accounting and/or finance
A minimum of five years of experience in a controllership role or progressive experience in a high-level accounting function
Candidates must possess solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills
Preferred:
A master's degree in business administration or CPA/CMA designations
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
