Description

LenelS2 is looking to add an overall Cloud Architect to our Product Development team. This candidate will work closely with our engineering teams on defining the architectures and technical vision of cloud deployment models across the suite of products in the LenelS2 portfolio. The candidate must be able to operate in a matrix organization, working with business leaders, engineers and product managers to define specifications and articulating them into program objectives to deliver cloud deployed products that improve the posture of our various cloud environments. This candidate will be responsible for articulating and translating the overall technical strategy and tactics for cloud deployed solutions to the enterprise. The role requires a seasoned architect with deep product knowledge, proven strong technical skills in designing cloud solutions, knowledge of latest software development technologies and agile processes with exceptional leadership skills and a global business mindset and innovative creativity!

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with product development leadership and domain experts to establish multi-product cloud architecture with a focus on enabling recurring revenue models

  • Engages with partners on defining potential partnerships to evolve and augment overall cloud solutions

  • Develops strategy and roadmaps of cloud deployed products portfolio

  • Partners with internal and external security teams to assess and reduce cloud security risks

  • Provides clear written and verbal consulting to projects about cloud architecture and cloud risk management

  • Champions the implementation of industry leading cloud technology standards and best practices across the product portfolio

  • Provides advice, analysis and recommendation on maximizing value of current and future products in the emerging cloud deployment models

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in commercially available product development leading cloud solutions architecture across all aspects relating to multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols

  • At least 10 years of experience designing, architecting and securing IaaS, Pass, and SaaS cloud deployments

  • In depth understanding of cloud technologies across AWS and Microsoft Azure including awareness and adaption of best practices

  • Must be a practitioner of agile development methodologies – Scrum is preferred

  • Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and a great facilitator

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus a strong focus on continuous improvement. Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to customers and peers

  • Troubleshoots effectively using reading, probing, analyzing, and interpreting skills

  • Enjoys helping customers use software tools to find solutions to business problems

  • Able to inspire trust

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in assessing priority and severity of issues

  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a global team

  • Able to manage a variety of customer situations

  • Strong familiarity with agile planning, configuration management, and defect management tools

  • Must have knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Windows-based operating systems and their respective database options

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Architect, AWS Certified Solution Architect is preferred

Educational requirements:

  • BA/BS degree w/15+ years experience

  • MA/MS degree w/10+ years experience
