This newly created opportunity focuses on developing and delivering training to The Bonadio Group's assurance practice. This position reports to the Assurance Leader.Responsibilities- Assessing training needs: The trainer must assess the training needs of assurance professionals within the firm and develop training programs accordingly. This includes identifying areas of weakness, designing training plans, and monitoring progress.- Evaluating training effectiveness: The trainer is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making improvements as needed. This may include conducting surveys, gathering feedback from trainees, and monitoring the impact of training on assurance quality.- Staying up-to-date on industry developments: An assurance trainer must stay up-to-date on changes to audit and review standards and regulations. They should be knowledgeable about best practices in providing assurance services and ensure that training materials reflect current industry standards.- Collaborating with Assurance Leadership: Reporting directly to the Assurance Leader, the assurance trainer should work closely with assurance management to ensure that training programs align with the firm's strategic goals and objectives. They should also provide regular reports on training activities and outcomes.- Maintaining professional development: An assurance trainer should maintain their own professional development by attending industry conferences, seminars, and training sessions. This ensures that they stay current with new developments and trends in assurance.- Will be responsible for managing multiple priorities- Seeking out process improvement along with questioning the status quoQualificationsRequired:- A minimum bachelors degree in accounting- CPA- A minimum of twelve years of experience working in accounting, auditing, or another relevant field- A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience working with clients or other stakeholders- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering training in a corporate environment including course materials, facilitation of learning activities, and assessing learning outcomes- Ability to demonstrate effective communications of complex accounting concepts with an engaging, easy to understand, and flexible style based on audience approaches to learningThe salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $150,000 commensurate with experience.Hours of Operation- Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.- Our summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.- We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however there may be times when additional work hours will be requiredAt The Bonadio Group, we believe that an inclusive work environment allows all of our people to achieve their greatest potential and the greatest results for our clients and communities.
