ERT Human Resources Intern in Pittsford, New York

ERT's Rochester office is seeking an HR intern to assist with front desk services, and provide general administrative duties in support of corporate offices and HR team. Assist in general facilities support to the local site. The Internship will be a great introduction to HR Coordinator duties, and is expected to be FT during the summer (it may continue in the Fall on a PT basis).


  1. Provide general clerical support for the office:

a. Order, maintain, and stock office/kitchen supplies.

b. Checks general voicemail and respond accordingly

c. Sorts incoming mail and notify appropriate party when faxes and/or packages are

received. Assist front desk with outgoing mail, packages and materials.

d. Hosts visitors and any arrangements required including setting up meeting rooms and

ordering refreshments, breakfast and/or lunch.

  1. Provide administrative support to the HR Team:

a. Assists with collating employee files and paperwork (i.e. I-9s, Offer Letters, etc.)

b. May assist in the drafting of office communications (i.e. flyers, office-wide emails,

monthly monitor slide updates etc.)

c. May assist in auditing reports pulled from HRIS system (Oracle HCM)

d. Supports special HR projects as needed.

  1. Facilities Support:

a. Provides support to the site administrator in facility coordination.

b. Enters tickets into the facility ticketing system for building needs, (e.g.

maintenance, repair items, general building issues and communicate building-related

issues back to team)


  1. Assists in maintaining visitation logs

  2. Work with site administrator to support other department functions as needed

  3. May make travel arrangement for select employees

  4. Be able to work full time in the summer months and part time during the school year.

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a business related field (preferably Human



  • 0-2 years experience working in an office setting

  • Must be well spoken and maintain a professional image when dealing with staff and


  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and tact.

  • Ability to work in a front desk environment with the demands and constraints of manning

reception and maintaining multiple priorities while maintaining pleasant and welcoming


  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.

  • Google Application experience a plus
