Responsibilities

Perform business appraisals and valuations for estate tax planning and reporting purposes to closely held businesses, trusts, estates, and litigation support assignments.
Prepare all relevant documentation to support financial statement reporting of purchase price allocations, stock options and intangible asset value assessments. Communication and conferencing with company CFO's and their independent auditors.
Manage valuation models, analysis and determine appropriate valuation methodology under cost, market, and income approaches.
Analysis used for determining the proper benefits stream(s) and specific cost of capital for each subject valuation engagement.
Utilize the following resources for analysis on a regular basis including the BVR array of valuation tools and resources, DealStats, Duff & Phelps Cost of Capital Navigator and various other cost of capital resources. Also utilize option pricing models and perform Monte Carlo simulations on more complex projects. As well as drawing from BLS, Stout Restricted Stock Study & DLOM Calculator, D&B Hoovers, RMA Annual Statement Studies, Guideline Public Company Database, Mergerstat, and National and Industry Economic Reports

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (with a concentration in Accounting or Finance), Management (with a concentration in Accounting or Finance), Engineering (with a minimum of four Junior and/or Senior level courses in Accounting, Economics or Finance) or MBA from an accredited college or university.
Familiarity and confidence with valuation concepts, experience with developing company specific cost of capital and associated modeling.
Must be available to start between September and November 2021
Major GPA of 3.0
Strong Excel & Word skills, confident with database research
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail, ability to manage time, workflow & focus on quality work
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Hours of Operation
Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Our summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday.
The ability to work additional hours during busy season is critical, but the rest of the year, flexibility is key.
