Our Plattsburgh, New York Tissue mill ishiring now for recent or upcoming engineering graduates into Georgia-Pacific's Engineering Development Program (EDP). These are key leadership roles that will work closely with the operations, reliability, and maintenance departments in the implementation of long-term asset and team strategies. The mill is located in a beautiful part of the country in upstate New York, right on beautiful Lake Champlain and in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains with close access to Burlington, Vermont! The mill has excellent rapport and connection with our community in Plattsburgh and the surrounding areas. What You Will Do In Your Role

Lead the organization toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety and compliance by identifying and resolving critical and high risk
Improve reliability of converting assets by leading the implementation, execution and check/adjust of asset strategies for assets and resolve high impact operating issues
Assist operators with troubleshooting and reviewing root cause
Improve longer term asset performance by understanding the business, mill, and department visions and identify area needs to meet those objectives
Lead or participate in capital project scope development, engineering, execution, and startup
Provide technical expertise on assets and transfer knowledge to other members of the operating team via daily interaction
Prioritize opportunities and develop a plan to create capability including potential capital and non-capital opportunities
Lead or participate in capital project execution, and startup
The Experience You Will BringRequirements:

To be enrolled in or have recently completed an Engineering degree program and eligible for full-time employment on or before June 2023
What Will Put You Ahead

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or in Pulp & Paper Science
Manufacturing experience
Experience in the pulp & paper industry, specifically in converting
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) or greater
