SUNY Potsdam Adolescent Outreach Advocate/Field Specialist (Teacher's Assistant) in Potsdam, New York

The Research Foundation for SUNY, a private, not-for-profit corporation, seeks a fulltime Adolescent Outreach Advocate/Field Specialist (Teacher’s Assistant) for the Northeast Migrant Education Program at SUNY Potsdam. The successful candidate will assess needs, mentor and tutor teens, provide career education and secondary and post-secondary planning, assist director with networking with families and the community, recruit for summer programs, and arrange trips for youth in grades 7-12 in Franklin County, St. Lawrence and Clinton Counties. Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience working with children required. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record, and a cell phone. Some weekend and evening hours will be required. The candidate should have experience working with this age group and should be passionate and enthusiastic.

Salary is $18.50 an hour, 37.5 hours/week with paid mileage with benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance.
